Since 1921 the Bourillon-Dorléans family have dedicated themselves to producing traditional, characteristic Vouvray wines which are still matured at optimum temperature in the 15th Century troglodyte caves. A delicate and complex wine with subtle aromas of white blossom, acacia and minerals, balanced by flavours of pears and quince on the palate. The richness of flavours are offset by a crisp acidity, giving a clean and refreshing finish.

This is a complex, yet soft wine, offering big, juicy, succulent black cherry-dominated aromatics with subtle woody hints. Already accessible this will drink well for several years to come.

Buitenverwachting means 'Beyond Expectation', and the wines produced by this winery, established in 1773, certainly live up to their name! Pale lemon in colour, aromas of green figs, gooseberries and a hint of green peppers give a lively nose. The perfectly balanced zesty acidity and citrus fruit flavours on the palate combine to give a dry, full bodied wine that will liven up all kinds of chicken and fish dishes.

The spectacular 2005 vintage has given a deep coloured wine, showing great finesse and fruit intensity. Ripe berry and currant flavours, soft tannins and balanced acidity on the finish. Ideal with white meat dishes.

This wine is made from the traditional grape variety of red Burgundy, Pinot Noir. It has been aged for a total of 18 months in traditional oak barrels giving it a fabulous flavour. There is an abundance of strawberry and cherry fruits, creating an admirable and lively wine.
